Tubs of colored clays and form pastes are definitely one of the things for a busy mom in your arsenal of art supplies have. They take care of the younger ones, they are a great multi-sensory way for a child to play, learn and develop their motor skills. In these hot summer days with fun and action, they can sure seems to be. If kids are bored or if you have something to do with them on a rainy day, then this game is a great homemade pasta to whole ship.

Velvet DIY plasticine

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of water
  • ¼ cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 cup of table salt
  • 4 c. Weinstein
  • Food coloring

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except heat food coloring in a nonstick pan.
  2. Over low heat, cook the mixture, stirring constantly to incorporate.
  3. While cooking the mixture begins to solidify and lumpy.
  4. Move the mixture around the bush, preferably with a silicone spoon.
  5. The mixture will begin to pull away from sides of pan. Soft pieces.
  6. If it seems to solidify, turn heat and add food coloring. If you prefer more of one color, remove the dough from the pot, place in a bowl and food coloring. Want to add color, while the dough is still warm.
  7. Working with the color in the mass by using a spoon. Then knead with your hands.
  8. Put the dough in plastic wrap and let cool completely.
  9. Store in an airtight container to keep it moist. Fun!
