Bacon Ranch Popcorn

Yield: 8 cups

Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

Half a cup of corn kernels

1-2 tablespoons grapeseed oil

1 cup chopped, crispy bacon

2-3 tablespoons melted butter, butter oil flavored popcorn olive or other oils

A quarter cup of ranch dressing mix (store bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon of salt

Instructions:

Heat a tablespoon or two of grape seed oil in a heavy soup pot over medium heat. (You can also use canola or other vegetable oil, but not olive oil, as it is likely to burn.)

Add a few grains of corn in the pot, cover and heat. When a nucleus appears, add a half cup of cooked corn grains and the pot. Shake the pan a little to distribute the almonds in an even layer. Let the pop beads for several minutes, until the bread is full and bursting slowed. Remove from heat and transfer popcorn in a large bowl.

Add bacon and stir to mix popcorn. Add a tablespoon of butter or oil, butter flavored popcorn / bacon and stir to mix well. Add about half the Ranch dressing. Add to distribute under constant stirring a tablespoon of oil or butter and the remaining ranch mix. Add salt, stir, mix well. Taste and butter or oil, if desired.

Oven fried bacon

I prefer to cook bacon in the oven instead of the oven for several reasons: it is much less messy; not so much fat injected much; You do not have to stand each piece individually for cooking on the stove.

Here's how I do it:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line two large baking sheets lined with foil.

Spread a pound of bacon between the two plates. The discs can be very close to one another - they contract during baking.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Place the bacon and cook for another 15-20 minutes until crispy. Transfer the bacon to a plate with paper towels. Discard the foil with excess fat or pour it into a covered container for later use.

This method will result in slices of bacon which my preference. If you prefer crispy bacon least reduce the cooking time by 5-10 minutes.
