Masterchef added value style "Mystery Box" Challenge to the Lamb

Paul Sandercock, executive director of the Council of Australian meat industry, is a way to encourage the younger people in the industry.

"We are at a stage where we need young and we have changes in the organization, to help him.

"Not only is this kind of competitions for young people to promote their development, but also an opportunity for trainees experience motorway and to win there."

He said customers are looking for ways to add value in the kitchen and have a butcher who seek to meet this demand.

"Customers want more about the products they buy, where it came from, know, for example.

Butcher's apprentice came with all kinds of recipes, including roast lamb sandwiches with feta cheese and olives, and lamb chops with Mediterranean seasoning.

Graham Elliot is professor of education at Tafe SA meat and was one of the judges of the competition from the Mystery Box.

He said that the butchers are judged by a number of things.

"We plan methods and we combine their knives, care, their work and their working methods of work.

"Then, when the presentation to the judge about your product, the value-added products with cooking methods and I is to finish their products as well."

Butchers have that additional information for the customer will be provided.

"The added value is a big part of our industry and is now for a number of years.

"Customers are for products that are much easier to cook, looking for fast cooking and less work for them."

Lucas Moody was the winner of the competition and now compete in the national challenge early next year Mystery Box.
