Cooking as Southener

Restaurant owner and author of popular books Johnnie Gabriel made an appearance in Woodstock Saturday with his latest book, "How to cook like a Southerner. Netherlands Classic Recipes Best Home cooked South"

Gabriel is to know a thing or two about cooking for Southerners is known, and in his latest book, she shares this knowledge through step by step instructions for cooking 35 legendary recipes from the south.

He is the author of two cookbooks, "Southern Cooking" and "second-hand" favorite cuisine daily South Gabriel, Restaurant and Bakery in Marietta.

In "As a Southerner cook" Gabriel brings his Southern experience to the next level and provides step-by-step photos of 35 most iconic Southern courts, police and tested more than 100 recipes from some of the best and friendliest southern cuisine and offers advice to support the basic recipes for special occasions, according to the book store.

"Johnnie Gabriel Book Shoppe FoxTale visited several times over the years and is always a pleasure," said Ellen Ward, one of the owners of the bookstore. "Your cookbooks are practical, very Southern and only income delicious."

The new book is a great gift book for brides, collectors and lovers of southern cuisine, Ward said.

"Johnnie serve samples of this new book, and the event is free to attend," Ward said.
