Detroit grandmother Mo Rocca demonstrates how to cook

CLIDA Ellison, 76, of Detroit shows Mo Rocca how to broadcast some Creole dishes on tonight's episode of "ravioli of my grandmother" at 20 clock on channel prepare food.

Louisiana transplant who has lived in Palmer Woods for 35 years, Ellison is a social worker in the youth division of the Third Circuit Court of Michigan. She was nominated by her boss for the show.

"Mo Rocca is hysterical, and I had so much fun," says Ellison. "Do not believe all the fuss was made when I had a good time."

. In today's episode, schools Ellison Rocca on the dishes they grew up with learning in his hometown Acosta, La Rocca CLIDA favorite Creole dishes - Gumbo, chocolates and stuffed crab.

"I've Creole cuisine for him," Ellison, a mother of five children (including USA Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn.) Said. "I do not know how to cook differently."

She says she uses the so-called trilogy or trinity in Creole cuisine - peppers, onions and celery - in almost all dishes.

"And there is nothing in my house is without Creole seasoning used Tony Chachere. Absolutely nothing," he adds.

"My grandmother ravioli" is in its third season. The series features the kitchen Rocca traveling with grandparents of America and the learning of their income and their life stories. Rocca, "Sunday Morning" show-correspondent of CBS, said the show was his memories of Sunday dinners and family gatherings grandmother (mother) was inspired.
