Cheesecake Recipe
12 ounces semisweet chocolate; chopped
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) unsalted butter
1 cup sour cream at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 lg Eggs
1 cup of sugar
3 packages of 8 ounces cream cheese; soft
1 c chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting the cake if desired
1 chocolate cake graham wafer in a large metal bowl of a pot of boiling water just melt chocolate and butter stirring until the mixture is smooth, stir in sour cream and vanilla, and let the mixture cool set via. In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until the mixture is thick and pale and forms a ribbon when bats are lifted and beat in the cream cheese. Add the chocolate mixture and stir in nuts. Pour filling into the prepared crust and bake the cheesecake in the middle of a preheated oven at 325 degrees F for 2 hours or until set. In the pan on a cooling rack, covered loosely (The cake will be in the middle.) Cool cake overnight, and remove the side of the pan. Sprinkle with icing sugar and cocoa powder in decorative cheesecake.
